About this experience

Your private chauffeur and guide will meet and greet you at your hotel or residence before departing for Normandy.

During the journey, enjoy an exclusive heritage video specially created for guests, offering an introduction to Normandy's rich culture, traditions, cuisine, landscapes, and fascinating history.

The first discovery takes place in Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy and one of the most influential cities of medieval Europe. Accompanied by your guide, follow the footsteps of Joan of Arc while strolling through the historic centre. Along the way, admire the famous Gros Horloge, one of the oldest astronomical clocks in France, before reaching the magnificent Cathedral of Rouen. Your guide will reveal how Rouen evolved from a Roman settlement into the capital of the Duchy of Normandy and one of the most prosperous cities of medieval Europe. Discover the legacy of Norman dukes, the city's strategic importance during the Hundred Years' War, and the story of Joan of Arc, whose final days forever linked her name to Rouen.

The second discovery takes place in Étretat, home to some of Normandy's most spectacular coastal scenery. Here, you'll discover the remarkable chalk cliffs, natural arches, and the famous Needle that rises dramatically above the English Channel. During a short walk to the viewpoints, your guide will introduce the geological history behind these formations and explain how the landscape inspired generations of artists, including Claude Monet and Gustave Courbet. The cliffs also became famous through literature, most notably in the adventures of Arsène Lupin.

The journey continues to Honfleur for the third discovery. Renowned for its picturesque harbour, colourful slate-fronted houses, and maritime heritage, Honfleur has long attracted artists, explorers, and travelers. As you stroll through the historic port, your guide will uncover the stories of merchants and navigators who departed from these shores and explain how the town helped inspire the Impressionist movement. Free time follows to browse local boutiques, purchase souvenirs, and capture memorable photographs.

The fourth discovery takes place at Manoir d'Apreval, a family-owned estate dedicated to preserving Normandy's cider-making traditions. Greeted by the estate's representatives, discover the secrets of cider production while strolling through the apple orchards. Learn how carefully selected cider apples are cultivated and transformed into ciders, Calvados, and other regional specialities before enjoying a tasting that showcases the authentic flavours of Normandy.

The final discovery takes place in Deauville, often referred to as the Queen of the Norman Beaches. Famous for its grand hotels, prestigious racecourse, casino, elegant villas, and iconic boardwalk, Deauville has long been associated with glamour and sophistication. Your guide will explain how this former Norman village evolved into one of France's most celebrated seaside resorts, attracting artists, aristocrats, and celebrities for generations. The visit concludes with a local tasting experience before beginning the return journey.

At the end of the tour, your private chauffeur and guide will accompany you back to your hotel or residence.
